Hi,
Great Photo! We have a yellow lab with the same eyes and nose. Sierra is 1 year and 4 months old. They look so much a like I showed my husband this picture and he thought it was one of mine.

Thanks Nikki, John and Lynsey, I'm really pleased you all like it!

Nikki, I have worked on this in Photoshop - I'm trying to hone my skills and create some actions along the way to speed up my workflow. This image might be a good one to post about - I'll take you through all the changes I’ve made. I have now created an action that will create the layers I need to enhance eyes - I've called it 'Crystal Eyes', which consists of sharpening, curves and saturation layers - with these I can paint away the mask on the areas I want to enhance and tweak the opacity to vary the effect. That's funny you were looking at shooting from a different perspective too. Glad to hear it was injury free!

John, rain can really bring out wonderful colours and the pink/blue jackets and umbrella sounded great. I'm pretty sure it will rain again though. A cool idea might be to shoot from above (from an upstairs window?) and have them splash around in some puddles whilst holding their coloured umbrellas.

Gorgeous colours and depth of field.

Lewis and Charlotte were playing in the heavy rain yesterday (Lewis with bright blue jacket & umbrella, Charlotte with bright pink jacket & umbrella) shame I didn't get my camera out. I had so many ideas but the rain had stopped by then. Moral of the story - use your bloomin camera.

Fantastic shot James - love the colours in her eyes - would be interested to hear how much photoshop work (if any??) was needed on this ? It is funny that you should have taken this route this week as I have too - took photos yesterday standing above Sophie as she lay on the grass and today at the park lay under the two older children as they went high on the swings hoping to get a shot from below without being injured. Nothing great to show for either trial but had fun looking at things from a different perspective!!
