About Me

Born in Redhill in 1979, I moved with my family to Perth at the age of three. Graduating from the University of Edinburgh with a degree in Electronics and Electrical Engineering, I lived in Edinburgh for eight years before moving with my wife to the rural Scottish Borders.

During the working week, I am a busy Project Engineer but I look forward to taking photographs in my spare time. With a keen interest in photography from an early age and an eye for interesting subjects, I made use of automatic film cameras to hone my composition skills. It was not until 2002 that the advantages of SLR cameras became known to me. Then, in 2005, the world of photography truly opened up when I purchased my first digital SLR.

Now, with a firm understanding of the technical and creative aspects of photography, I find pleasure in portraiture, but enjoy most other forms of photography as well.
